Our God is a fierce warrior - and so are we

Sisters, look at what happened at the Red Sea. God opened a pathway for His people, a way through that seemed impossible. The Israelites walked through on dry ground, and Pharaoh saw that same open sea and thought, I can pursue them there too. He didn’t know, or perhaps he refused to see, that he was walking into God’s trap.

The enemy always does this. He sees what God has made for your deliverance and thinks he can use it against you. But here’s the truth: once Pharaoh’s chariots entered that sea, God closed it. The very waters that parted for the redeemed became a grave for the pursuers. Both walls of water came crashing down as heaps, and the sea swallowed every chariot, every soldier, every enemy in its path.

This is how our God fights. He is a man of war, the Lord is His name. Exodus 15:3. He doesn’t just protect His own. He uses the enemy’s own pride and ambition against him. Your breakthrough becomes his downfall.

So this morning, sister, don’t shrink back. Don’t let fear or doubt make you small. Don’t let your emotions convince you that you’re defeated. You are not sitting down today. You are at the battlefront, but here’s what changes everything: you are fighting from victory. You already know how it ends. As it says in John 16:33, in this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.

The violent take the kingdom by force. That’s you. God has made you a warrior because you take after Him. He’s given you authority. He’s given you rights. When you know your rights and you stand firm in them, heaven backs you up. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11.

Every enemy that rises against you thinking it has a pathway to your destruction will find itself swallowed by the very sea of God’s power. Rise up today in boldness and courage. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9. Your confidence is high because your victory is already secure.
